How much does Flip or Pass cost?
Free accounts get 5 verdicts per month (from text search, barcode scan, or AI photo identify), and they are the full verdict: real sold-price data, the complete fee breakdown, every comparable, and your search history. Pro is $9.99/month or $59.99/year, includes a 7-day free trial, and raises the allowance to 50 verdicts a month. That is the only difference.
How accurate are the price estimates?
Every search on every plan is priced off recent eBay sold listings, so verdicts are based on what items actually sold for rather than what they are listed at. When an item has no recent sales to go on, we fall back to up to 200 live listings and label the verdict accordingly. Either way we apply category-specific fees from eBay's actual fee schedule (50+ categories).
What does the AI photo scan do?
Snap a photo of any item (a sneaker, a vintage radio, a controller) and the AI identifies it (brand, model, era), then automatically searches for comparable listings. No typing required. It is included on every plan, and a scan spends one verdict from the same monthly allowance a typed search does: 5 a month on free, 50 on Pro.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings in the app and tap Manage Subscription. You can cancel anytime and keep Pro access until the end of your billing period. iOS subscribers manage their plan through the App Store.
Do you offer refunds?
The 7-day free trial gives you full Pro access before you're charged. For web (Stripe) charges, refund requests are handled case by case: reach out within 14 days of a charge if something went wrong and we'll make it right. App Store purchases are refunded through Apple under Apple's refund policy. See our Terms of Service for full billing details.
Does this work for marketplaces other than eBay?
Flip or Pass is built around eBay's sold data and fee schedule, and that is deliberate. eBay is the only large marketplace that publishes completed sale prices at any scale, and every verdict here is built on what items actually sold for rather than what someone is asking. Facebook Marketplace, for example, never records a sale at all, so there is nothing to price against. If you resell somewhere else, the comps are still the best read available on what an item is worth. Just know the fee breakdown is eBay's, so your take-home on another platform will differ.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and your search history. You can also email us via the contact page if you need help.
